AIDS is an issue that’s very important to me, both as a person with HIV, and as a human who believes in fairness for all. When AIDS first started killing gay men in the early 1980s, it was met with little sympathy, and lots of fear and judgement. ACT UP, the AIDS advocacy group, was instrumental in bringing attention to the issue. The group’s anniversary was last week, and Rachel Maddow delivered this wonderful segment on the group.
Thanks ACT UP for all you’ve done.
